Every Project begins with a Discovery Call, giving us the opportunity to better understand your goals, needs, and overall scope of your project. Following this conversation, we’ll prepare a detailed Estimate outlining the anticipated scope of work and associated design fees. Once the Estimate is approved and the initial deposit is received, we’ll move forward with the next phase of the process.

The next step of our process is the Mood Board Meeting — a collaborative video call where we present curated inspiration images and design details for each space. This conversation helps shape the proposed design direction and ensures alignment before we begin sourcing products or developing drawings. During this meeting, you’ll have the opportunity to share what resonates with you, as well as any elements that may not align with your vision.

Once we’ve established a clear design direction during our Mood Board Meeting, we move into the Design phase. This stage is tailored to the scope and budget of your project, so timelines and deliverables may vary. If you're local, we typically present the design in person. For remote clients, we thoughtfully package and ship all necessary materials—complete with detailed item descriptions—and walk through everything together on a video call. During this meeting, we review wall elevations, selected materials, sourced products, and 3D renderings if applicable.

Then, we generate a Product Information Sheet (PIS) which is technical term for a “live” document that houses all the information needed to purchase your furniture and accessories. This document includes product images, SKUs, quantities, dimensions, and product links along with a column to add ordering notes and tracking info.

MDS offers various methods of purchasing, installing, and/or styling based on your preferences project scope. We'll dicuss this phase in your Discovery Call and it will be factored into your Estimate in the early stages of the project. Morgan Design Studio is a full-service interior design studio so we are here to help as much or as little as you like at every step of the way!
